Just, Who Is Blue?

My cliched answer to that question is that Blue is you, dear reader.

It all started with two wonderful books, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows, and 84, Charing Cross Road by Helene Hanff. Before reading them, I brainstormed, wrote journal entries, explored other book blogs, and read a boat load of books in hopes that my love for book blogging would stir yet again. What they did was fill me with wonder for the written letter. In this day and age, a written letter is a treasure...a treasure I wanted to share with all of you on Novel Days. I want to chat with you about books in its various forms over a cup of chai. I want to engage you in discussion, and pour out my personal thoughts, make you laugh, feel like Novel Days is my personal book space again. My blog had become a bit cardboard, as I tried to conform to the formulas of other blogs, obtain ARC's, gain the publishing world's attention. But I simply want a place to call my literary home, a journal, a diary, a fangirling rant that will hopefully connect with you as well!

An explanation of Blue:

I call you, Blue, as derived from the 18th century term Bluestocking which speaks of an educated, bookish woman. Not forgetting about my male readers, I've also thought up a pet name for you, Blue Ties. I think it's cute! I lovingly think of you all as my Bluestockings and Blue Ties, and hope that when you read my 'letters' they will feel as if they were personally addressed, and mailed straight to you!

Happy Reading.
